Step #2: Get Your DVD Presentation or Travel Magazine
If you decide to join Traverus Travel you can get a DVD presentation from the individual you signed up under and you can order the Travel Magazine. You do not have to sell your Travel Party visitors. They will see the wonderful benefits of traveling and will ask a ton of questions. Your job is to answer them thoroughly. If you do they just may sign up with you as a travel agent or have you plan a vacation for them. Either way it's a win win situation.
Step #3: Decide which market you want to target and how you will reach them
I am going to give you a fantastic market and you will say, "Why didn't I think of that?" The market you should target initially are the Nail and Hair Salons. Here are two reasons why this is an ideal market:
- A captive audience - When women get their hair and nails done there is a lot of waiting around, so they can read your flyer
- Continuous interaction - If a few women do not take you up on your Travel Party offer this week, they may do so next week or the week after since they will be back to get their hair or nails done again. :)
If you can think of a similar market that's held captive while taking advantage of a service you have hit a goldmine!
Step #4: Get your Travel Party Advertisement and Marketing Fliers ready
So far you probably like what you have read but a thought may be running through your mind, "I don't know how to create a flyer?" Good because you don't have too! I already created a travel party flier for you! All you have to do is:
- Make sure you have Microsoft Word 97 or higher
- Download the file to your computer
- Edit the information within the document
- Save your changes
- Print a copy or two to double check everything
- Save he flyer to a CD, flash drive or disk and take it to the printer
Now don't you panic! Fortunately, I know you still may have some reservations, so I am creating a quick video tutorial on how you can edit the travel pary flier to suit your needs. Once you make the changes, I would recommend you visit a few hair and nail salons and talk with the owner. Here is how you should present the opportunity:
You will provide them with free advertising on the back of the flyer you create that will include whatever discounts they want to offer in exchange for you being able to leave those fliers next to the cash register. :) If they say, "No." Thank them for their time and move on. Do not take it personal.
It should not cost you more than $25 to get 300 to 500 fliers printed! You should keep in mind that one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper will have three flyer. If you print 100 pages that will create 300 individual fliers back and front. :) You'll understand more when you watch the video and see the Travel Party Flier.
Step #5: Begin placing your Travel Party Advertisement and Marketing Fliers in strategic locations
Now that you have your flyers completed and the locations selected begin visiting each store and placing your fliers there. Instruct the store owners to inform their customers about their special promotion when they walk in and handout the flier.
Also, since some people will not be interested in attending your Travel Party, you have to determine how often you would have them. It's a good idea to have it at least once a month and if you can twice a month!
If you pick two times a month then you can segment your locations. For example, since If you live in Bronx, New York, you can put fliers in stores on the South side of the Bronx and schedule a Travel Party for that section. Then you can put fliers in stores on the North side and schedule another date for their travel party and so on.
This way I can see which section is bringing in the better results as well as which store as the fliers will be coded and the people will have to bring them to get access to the travel party. :)
